Pimp a Plush - An Upcycling Workshop
Want to give your childhood bear a glam over? Or turn your new plushie into a backpack? You’ve come to the right place. Pimp a Plush with Edie Bunnie is a workshop that fosters a safe space for creative freedom and inner child healing. Within this one day, 4 hour workshop you will get to newly design your plush and decide what new life you want them to have eg. a bag, keychain or simply a pretty display bear.
All materials will be supplied including plushies! You’re also welcome to bring a bear from home if you’d rather work on something more personal.
Basic sewing skills are helpful but not a necessary requirement as I’ll be there to assist, making this workshop suitable for all abilities and age groups.
The first half of the workshop will consist of picking out a plush, drawing up designs and choosing/preparing materials. There will be lots of supplies to choose from eg. eyes, rhinestones, bells, ribbon, beads, zips etc. You will also have the opportunity to make mini polymer accesories/additions to your plush eg. horns or charms.
The second half of the workshop we will commence “plushie surgery”. Whether that’s sewing a zip and pouch into your bear to transform it into a bag or glueing some extra eyes to create an alien creature, there are endless possibilities for your plushie’s new persona.
